Differences between Hausa People and Fulanis, Who are Muslims and Who are Fodionism Followers; Wake-up Call To All Natives of Nigeria over National Protests
Native indigenous people of Nigeria need to know and understand who and what the Hausas, Fulanis, and Muslims are, who are followers of Islam and Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh), and who are followers of Fodiyanci or Fodionism (Usman Danfodio’s version of Islam), along with their leaders and practices.
Hausas are the aborigines of the seven states in Nigeria in the Northern geographical zone: Kebbi, Zamfara, Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, and Kaduna (Zaria), where they make up 30% of the population. Hausa people are also found in the Republic of Niger in the southern part of the country, where they make up 53% of the population. They are also found in Ghana, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Mali, Sudan, Eritrea, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Benin, Ivory Coast, Chad, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Togo, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Senegal, The Gambia, and other countries in the diaspora. They embraced the original Islam as propagated by the Holy Prophet Muhammad himself (Pbuh). Islam came to Hausaland through merchants of Hausa descent over a thousand years ago.
According history, the Fulanis were once homeless gypsies who were accommodated by the Hausas centuries ago when the early Fulanis were expelled by ancient Roman Italians, their masters, due to their practice of sexually abuse of livestock, such as cows, sheep, and donkeys. Because of how hospitable our ancestors were, when they met the Hausas, they were given accommodations in the forests. Later on, a few were permitted to stay in cities and towns and were given the occupation of rearing Hausa cattle until the birth of Usman, the son of Fodio, in the Gobir Kingdom, where he was taught the Holy Quran by the Hausa people. He was given permission to preach in Birnin Alkalawa and other Hausa cities by Sultan Ummaru Ibrahim Akal II (Bawa Jangwarzo). Danfodio betrayed, revolted, and invited his fellow Fulanis, launching a surprise overnight war on their Hausa hosts. They slaughtered the Hausa kings and all notable Hausas, including scholars, burnt women, children, and villages. In Katsina Kingdom, the notable Yandoto Tsangaya University was burned to ashes, manuscripts written by Hausa scholars were destroyed, and some were looted. They deliberately manipulated and misinterpreted the original Islam to suit their desires in order to use the religion to perpetuate their lordship over the Hausa people. This version of Fulani Islam is known in the Hausa language as Fodiyanci and as Fodionism in English.
Northern Nigerian Muslims comprise various groups and sects of worshippers who claim to follow the religion of Islam (not necessarily the same as that propagated by the Holy Prophet; e.g., Fodiyanci, Shi’a, Sunni (Izzala), Tijjaniya, Qadriyya, etc.). Their leaders include Sheikh Ibrahim Zazzaky, Ahmed Gumi with Yahaya Jingre, Dahiru Bauchi, whose deputy is Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, and Yusuf Sambo Rigacikum with Qariballah, a strong supporter of Abubakar Shekau. These leaders are supporting and abetting terrorism in Nigeria and Africa at large.
All Fulani Muslim sects are united by Fodiyanci or Fodionism and support Boko Haram, except for the sect of Sheikh Aliyu Albany Zaria, which they regard as outcasts. Despite this, Albany remains a member of Fodiyanci. The Fulanis are homeless gypsies traveling across the globe, looking for land to capture as their own even to this day, so the indigenous Nigerians should be careful about who they accommodate in their lands.
I am inspired by a divine mission to emancipate my people (Hausas) from the clutches of dominance and bondage of the Fulani and their brand of Islam (Fodiyanci). They pray to their progenitor Usman Danfodio and perform rituals at his gravesite in Hubbare in Sokoto City every Thursday, where they beg for birth, marriage, and abundance of cattle.
The Fulani have responded to my attacks by employing various forms of propaganda against me, claiming that I am being sponsored by CAN, Jews, European authorities/organizations, and the people of Plateau State in Nigeria to destroy Islam. Agents of this propaganda and calumny against me include Fulani Sheikhs, Imams, and Ulamas. Even the Fulani Christians are united with their Fulani Muslim relatives in conspiracy against the natives of Nigeria. Bishop Buba Lamido is among those who support banditry by the Fulani.
They are wary of the fact that now the Hausas are predisposed to voting for even a Southern Christian over a Northern Muslim. Thus, they posit that votes or protests will not save them from the imminent calamities that will befall them due to my crusades against the Fulani.
They employ other tactics, like Fulani Christians and Muslims making hot accusations and attacks against each other, thereby inflaming a religious crisis between Christian and Muslim communities, while they watch as others kill each other and the Fulanis take over the spoils of war. The spoils can be land, looted goods and properties, and bargains with the government for their selfish and exclusive advantages. They propagate Muslim-Muslim tickets, positing that the worst of Muslims is better than the best of Christians, and that Christians are enemies of Muslims. These facts are already in the public domain.
To cajole the Southerners in show of their population strength, they always portray the North as one united entity devoid of differences, which they claim to be in charge of. Surely, the Muslim-Muslim ticket of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu didn’t turn out as they expected. Therefore, they are sworn to bring down Tinubu’s government. Consequently, the Fulani Sheikhs, Imams, and Ulamas have taken advantage of the ongoing protests by storming Hausa villages with door-to-door sensitization and mobilization campaigns against Tinubu’s presidency, claiming that President Tinubu is working hard to destroy Islam in Nigeria as part of his ongoing agenda. They ensure that their activities are not recorded by forbidding anyone from coming close to them with phones, cameras, or any form of recording material. They are already burning Nigerian flags in some northern parts of the protests led by the Fulani.
The Federal Government and Nigerian Security Agencies must be at their very best to nip this very dangerous move against the Natives of Nigeria and the Nigerian State in the bud.
